Joshua Farm is an urban farm located in the Allison Hill neighborhood of Harrisburg. As a program of Joshua Group, our mission is:
- To provide employment opportunities for youth already involved in Joshua Group’s mentoring and academic support programs,
- To make locally grown and organic produce more accessible and affordable to our neighbors in Allison Hill and beyond, and
- To offer service-learning experiences to students of all ages.
There are two places you can support Joshua Farm by purchasing our produce. Harvest is a stand at Broad Street Market that sources all of its products from a 50 mile radius. We supply greens, herbs, tomatoes, potatoes, flower bouquets, and much more to this stand, which is open Thursdays and Fridays from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. –4 p.m. year round.
From May through November we operate a stand at Strawberry Square, a retail center in downtown Harrisburg. Joshua Farm at Strawberry Square is open on Tuesdays from 10 am to 2 p.m and is located next to Auntie Anne’s. In addition to produce grown at Joshua Farm, we also sell fruits and vegetables from other local farms. For more information about our farm stand, please see the Farm Stand page.
The farm is located at 213 S. 18th Street, Harrisburg on land owned by the Harrisburg School District. Mailing address: 1442 Market St., Harrisburg PA 17103. Phone: 717-236-4464.
